Walpole trekking

Today we trekked up two granite peaks, Mt Pingerup, and Mt Frankland. Both we challenging, and despite the weather being overcast, windy, and occassionally light rain, the views were terriffic. After our walking, we went to the herb farm and indulged in rosemary scones with jam and cream, orange cake made on Almond meal, and coffees. Quite a good day all up!

Here is the lighthouse at Cape Leeuwin, near Augusta. To the left is the Southern Ocean, to the right is the Indian Ocean.

Here I am on the top of Mt Pingerup. A great view over the Karri Forest and inlet which the town of Walpole is nestled on.
